Dead Whisper [Soundtrack]

Film scorers are unsung heroes in filmmaking. The music they compose that accompanies what we see on screen plays a vital role in setting the overall tone of the film. The composer has the unique ability to help sway the viewer into feeling a certain way; scared when we hear the "dun dun.......dun dun......dun dun" letting us know danger is coming in Jaws, or sad when we hear the sweet nostalgic melody during the opening scene in Up which is almost guaranteed to bring even the toughest individuals to tears.

On my train ride home this evening, I had the pleasure of listening to the recently released soundtrack to the horror film, Dead Whisper. If you follow this blog, or watch my TikTok, you are aware that I am a fan of this film so you can imagine I was excited to give this one a listen and I really enjoyed it. I knew that I would like it because I had already heard it accompanied by the movie. What I was not expecting was to be ripped out of my seat and transplanted back into the movie. With every track, I felt the anguish and the terror as I relived each scene in the film through the music. The film's composer, Nikhil Koparker, did a brilliant job capturing the mood of this film and I cannot wait to see what else Koparker scores. I will certainly be listening.
