Irish Wish: Movie Review

The other night my wife and I watched the new Lindsay Lohan movie, Irish Wish, now streaming on Netflix. It was directed by Janeen Damian who also directed Lohan's other Netflix movie from 2022, Falling for Christmas. The movie also starred Ed Speleers and Alexander Vlahos, both of whom appeared in STARZ's period fantasy drama Outlander, but never shared the screen until now. Like most 30 somethings, I grew up loving Lindsay Lohan movies, from Mean Girls to The Parent Trap, she was on top of her game in the late 90s and early 2000s. As everyone knows, it has been a very long time since she was on-top, but now, she seems to be starting a resurgence and I could not be more excited!

Irish Wish is the story of Maddie (Lohan) who's wish that she was marrying the love of her life, Paul Kennedy (Vlahos), is granted. The movie is delightfully campy and cheesy and truly an enjoyable film to watch. This movie is a nice feel-good film about being careful what you wish for. I recommend Irish Wish for anyone who is looking for an easy, cheesy, Halmark style movie starring the magnificent Lindsay Lohan.

Thank you!
