3 Movies that I think could be adapted to series'

 Hello!

We are living in a world of movie to tv show adaptations such as 2007's Shooter starring Mark Wahlberg which was adapted into a short lived tv series on USA starring Ryan Phillippe. Or the short lived Taken tv series on NBC based on the hit movie franchise of the same name. Admittedly, these types of shows seem to have short lives, 2002's About a Boy was adapted to a tv with the same name in 2014 and only lasted 2 seasons on NBC, despite starring the wonderful Minnie Driver. That being said, I thought it would be fun to pick 3 movies that I like that I feel could make a good tv series/miniseries.

1. 1957's 12 Angry Men, which was actually a remake of the season 7 premier of Studio One in 1954, is wonderful crime drama centered around a jury trying to decide the fate of a young man accused of murder. The stakes are so high in this film that you find yourself as fully invested in this trial as the characters that you are watching. This type of gripping drama would be a great fit as a miniseries on a premium channel, such as HBO (or MAX as they prefer to be called).

2. 1964's A Fistful of Dollars starring the king of westerns, Clint Eastwood. Admittedly, I have only seen this and The Good the Bad and the Ugly and am yet to see A Few Dollars More. That being said, the rawness of these westerns would make a great western tv show, maybe the best we've seen since AMC's Hell on Wheels.

3. 1993's The Nightmare Before Christmas from the brilliant mind of Tim Burton. We all know this classic tale and the beloved characters, and I know that I am risking losing readers before i even get any with this hot take, BUT, every time I watch this movie, I imagine how cool it would be to have a tv series, or miniseries, about the other doors that Jack Skellington chooses not to open.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and feel free to add any movies that YOU think would make a good tv series/miniseries.
